This 18th century house facing Orford Street is Grade 2 listed. It used to be Darlow's gun shop and was surmounted by a live-size concrete stag. Said stag had, however, to be removed after a fire in June 1973 and it took until the summer of 1984 until it was replaced (on 19 June 1984) by the glassfibre replica > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5819578 seen today.
