The premises have changed hands more than once in recent years. Previous owners renamed the pub 'The Griffin', and that name is still displayed outside the pub. But the present owners prefer to call it the 'Brickmakers', and that is the name used in their publicity material. The railway bridge in the background carries the Tonbridge-Redhill line.
