The inscription reads: ERECTED TO PERPETUATE THE MEMORY OF THE MEMBERS OF BROOKFIELD CHURCH AND SCHOOL WHO SERVED IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1919. ALSO IN THE WORLD WAR 1939 - 1945.
