This building has a very extensive frontage and has two substantial wings which extend to the rear. It is on a lonely secluded road and quite remote from Grimston - no doubt a grim place for those who ended up here in its heyday. It is marked on an older (1992) OS map as Eastgate House but on a more recent (2006) version it has reverted to "The Old Workhouse". Precise present use is uncertain, but residential of some kind.
