The cottages have been removed around the time of the building of the A55. These cottages were shown on the Ordnance Survey Pathfinder 753 map printed 1988,91. Apparently the cottages were home to some "linesmen" who worked for the railway and whose job it was to check the railway line over a given distance. There was no running water available so a train stopped at the cottages daily to deliver water.
