The pedestrianised square in the heart of Manchester's shopping offer is a conservation area and home to St Ann's Church and the Royal Exchange Theatre. It was home to the Manchester Cotton Exchange (now the Exchange Theatre) for more than two centuries and is now one of the main spots for Manchester markets.
