Such a peaceful scene but 100 years ago, a railway embankment would have run [L-R] across the meadow; the only sign of its existence is where the ground slopes under the large trees, beyond the horses. The embankment was west of the East Kent Light Railway’s Wingham Colliery station http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/w/wingham_colliery/index.shtml
