This is a grade 2 listed former Masonic Hall (list entry 1390550). Despite the classical appearance, this is a steel-framed building dating from the art-deco era (1926-28). Until 2013 it was called Connaught Rooms but is now an Indian restaurant. The pair of stone lions at the entrance seem to be periodic visitors - they appeared in 2007, compare Image and Image, had gone again by 2010 Image but were back by 2017 Image
