The large cabinet is a Western Power Distribution electricity substation located between Princes Street and Quay Road. Its identifier is WEST LOOE QUAY 45/1922. A label on the cabinet shows the presence of SF6. SF6 is sulphur hexafluoride, an insulating gas used in high voltage systems.
