This prominently sited house was built circa 1840 for J. Banks, a brewer, whose brewery adjoining was built in 1811. The brewery closed 1895 and is now demolished. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1033917
