Not quite sure what the connection with Alfred is or was, apart from the obvious King of England bit, which could apply anywhere. This is the main entrance to the Alfred Lodge retirement apartments built by Churchill Retirement on the site of the 1960s Court House. There are 26 apartments in the complex with one or two bedrooms. Current starting price £261K for a 1 bed not including service charges, but they are offering to pay single stamp duty. There is a 2 bed on the market for £430K!!!!
