Greta Bridge carries the A66 over the Greta River and the disused Cockermouth to Penrith railway track now used by the Coast to Coast Cycleway. In September 1999 this bridge was voted the 'Best Concrete Engineering Structure of the Century' as recorded on a plaque by the cycleway.
