Broken windows and boarded up doors epitomise the derelict state of the building nine months after its closure in January 2007. Originally built as a 105 bedroom motel in 1969 at the busy Hillingdon Circus junction of the A40 road, the building was sold by Fullers the brewers to Tesco in December 2006. Its demise was hastened by the new route of the A40 bypassing Hillingdon Circus to the north.
