Lousy Hill Lane is the uphill route at the road junction, the alternative route being named Little Beck Bank. The signpost advises "Local Traffic Only" on Lousy Hill Lane. Whilst written separately on maps, "Little" and "Beck" are normally pronounced as "Littlebeck".
