The building dates from 1764 and is B-listed (LB22064): http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB22064 . The mercat cross is surprisingly not listed but the Canmore record (18458) summarises its complex history: https://canmore.org.uk/site/18458/banff-low-street-market-cross . The original cross and carving from the early 16th Century is in Banff museum. Note also the fine gas lamp.
