This large Grade 2 listed 19th century house originally used to be called "The Wilderness" as it is situated above the hilly wooded area also known as The Wilderness. The building comprises two storeys and an attic with five first-floor windows and has a hipped slate roof, one yellow brick chimney, and a panelled door to the right of centre. A footpath leads past here, skirting a section of the ancient city wall.
