The sign is alongside the B4591 at the eastern edge of Pontymister, a village adjoined to the town of Risca in Caerphilly county borough. The Welsh for Please Drive Carefully is also shown on the sign. Some sources state that the Welsh name of the village is Pont-y-meistr but that name is not shown here. Rogerstone in the City of Newport is behind the camera.
