British Rail Class 27 27019 shunts wagons at the goods yard at Maud. By this date the station (closed to passengers in 1965) was no longer a junction, the line to Peterhead having closed in 1970. There was still just enough goods traffic on the line to Fraserburgh to justify some irregular freight trains such as this one. The line finally closed in 1979.
