Rather more ancient than the brick street frontage suggests. The central (timber-framed) part is thought to be a medieval cruck-framed, 2-bay hall house, into which a half-height floor has subsequently been inserted, thereby creating first floor rooms. The brick parts at the near and far end are somewhat more recent, i.e. 18th or 19th century, and include a small shop frontage which is currently trading as a jeweller.
