Chawn Hill drops down to a roundabout where it meets Brook Road and Grange Road. The height warning on the sign applies to the bridge where Brook Road passes under the railway close to Stourbridge Junction station. The word chawn is early English for young cows or calves - which suggests that this was ancient grazing land.
