A plant of woodlands and damp places, commoner in the west than in the east, but quite plentiful here. This is the commoner species of Golden Saxifrage, easily told apart from Alterate-leaved Golden Saxifrage because its leaves are in pairs. It is also usually smaller and paler in colour.
