Looking downstream. The River Gade was well-landscaped as part of the development of Hemel Hempstead New Town, with paths, seating and frequent bridges. To the right of the picture the dual-level car park, its low wall attractively creeper-covered, contains the scene and screens it from the busy Leighton Buzzard Road on the other side.
