When Earlham House was sold to Castelnau by Bellgold Properties Ltd in the summer of 2017, Bellgold retained the car parks and these have ever since been subject to controversial enforcement by a private parking firm, National Parking Enforcement (NPE) Ltd. NPE Ltd uses CCTV to issue parking charge notices to drivers visiting Earlham House, most of which relating to parking one tyre on a white line for a few minutes. Disabled drivers too are being issued parking tickets when parking perfectly legally.
