The chapel was built in 1783 for Gaelic speaking people who had been evicted from their homes during the Highland Clearances and settled in Cromarty. The building is situated on the north side of an extensive graveyard and is derelict and roofless with extensive ivy on the chapel walls. This is a view of the interior from the porch at the west end showing the tall tower which looks relatively intact. See also: Image
