Interesting that just this fragment of the existing buildings on this development site is, it appears, being preserved. The development is described as "a £33m residential-led scheme close to Bristol's historic former marketplace ... Alaska Developments, advised by Indigo Planning, has been given the green light by Bristol City Council for the development, located between Jacob Street and Unity Street. The scheme measures between two to six storeys in height and includes 202 student rooms (46 studios and 156 bedrooms) within 18 cluster flats. A total of 48 one-to-four bedroom houses will also be created in terraced mews houses and apartments, 19 of which will be affordable ... Three existing buildings of architectural merit will be retained to provide three ground floor commercial units.
