The boardwalk takes a sharp right from the footpath, into the bog for a closer view. At the end of this short stretch are information boards explaining the development of the bog and some archaeological information, as well as details of plants and fauna which thrive in this hostile place - mosses, sphagnums, carnivorous plants, rare moths, spiders, otters, voles, adders and wetland birds.
