Short cul-de-sac, one of several on the modern development to the south of Green Lane. As with all of the street names on the development, it has an ecclesiastical theme, mostly with some relevance to the area. In this case, Bishop George Cockin (1908-1996) appears to have been first Bishop of Owerri, Nigeria in the 1960s. Presumably, he had a local connection too: there is a plaque to him in Hessle's All Saints parish church.
