This section is bounded in the south by Gipsy Lane. Earlham Road cemetery was expanded several times. In 1892 a large triangle of land adjacent in the west and comprising 40 acres was purchased from S Gurney Buxton and Edward North Buxton, the trustees of the late John Gurney. This part of the cemetery is bounded by Farrow Road in the east, by Bowthorpe Road in the north and by Gipsy Lane in the south. The graves here date mainly from the second half of the 20th century.
