A DMU passes the former Wormit Station and heads onto the Tay Bridge. The platform can be seen on the left that served trains from Tayport to Dundee. This short section of line (the Newport Railway) was opened in 1879, but closed in 1969. The station was the scene of a major train crash in 1955, when a train apparently travelling over twice the permitted speed crashed into the station with the loss of three lives and 42 were injured.
