This snow flurry developed as the horse's dressage test progressed, but there were more and worse to come so despite valiant efforts to keep things safe, including resiting the show jumping to a fresh arena for day 2, the Horse Trials were finally abandoned. True grit: plucky riders, bold horses and a hard working management team. No-one could have done more.
