The Cornubia

The Cornubia proclaims to date from circa 1775 on its wall. Looking at old maps reveals that the current site dates from post-WWI. It stands beside what was the east section of the now-lost lane of Long Row. Directly opposite the pub across Temple Street was another public house, which is now also lost. The back of the pub here used to be on the old route of Temple Street, which today is elsewhere, but has clearly run into modern buildings.
