Common open space that remain undeveloped during the 19th century expansion of Leeds, subsequently becoming a public park and recreation ground. Once it would have resounded to the hammer of local industry. Now it resounds to the hammer of traffic along the M621 in the background. Geograph members attending the 13th birthday meet brave the deteriorating weather.
