Ephemeral Burn

Image: © Anne Burgess Taken: 7 Mar 2018

The wide blue burn on the right is a strictly temporary phenomenon, made up of snow melting at a great rate in the fields. Two days ago, the temperature was hovering around 0ºC and it was snowing. Today it's 7ºC and the snow is vanishing like - well, like snow off a dyke.
