Opened in 1854 as 'Tilbury' by the London Tilbury & Southend Railway on the line from London Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness via the Tilbury loop. The station was renamed 'Tilbury Riverside' in 1934. It closed in 1992 and the tracks (which finished end-on to the building in the centre of the image) were mostly removed. View south west towards the former concourse area. Behind the building (out of sight on the far left of the image) is a pontoon for ferries and cruise liners to dock.
