In amongst the imposing Regency terraces of Leamington Spa there are many much more humble rows of houses. These housed the workers and the many others who served the town. 21 Rosefield Street is of note for two main reasons. Firstly it was a Salvation Army house . Secondly the son of the Leamington Spa Corps officers who lived there became the renowned and prolific composer Robert Simpson. It is he who is commemorated by the blue plaque.
