A grey wall plaque on this house informs readers that a physician, Dr David Daniel Davis (1778-1841), who assisted at Queen Victoria's birth and translated Pinel's paper "Traité médico-philosophique sur l'aliénation mentale" 1801 (i.e. Treatise on Insanity) in 1806, lived in this property between 1803-12. Wheats Lane, an alleyway that links Paradise Square with North Church Street can be glimpse along the north side of the house .
