In the far distance is Thames Gateway on the other side of the Thames. Closer at hand, the impressive-looking building is the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara. It was opened in November 2010 and cost £15 million to build. It is the biggest Gurdwara in Europe hosting facilities for Sikhs.
