Eastry Hospital, formerly a workhouse and finally a mental hospital. Eastry Poor Law Union officially came into existence on 27th April 1835. Architect William Spanton – (workhouse part) Patients 500 (as a workhouse) Finally closed in 1997, due for demolition autumn 2007.
