Elk sculpture near Cupola Bridge

This sculpture of an elk, made of branches and brushwood, stands close to the A686 Alston to Haydon Bridge road a short way below Whitfield village and upstream from Cupola Bridge. There is presumably some connection between this sculpture and the Elks Head Inn in the village.
