On modern OS maps, the adjacent farm is named Cape of Good Hope Farm, but the name appears on older maps associated with this sudden bend in the road. The named farm has a private steam railway, which was briefly open to the public, but now has a business focussed on building narrow-gauge steam locomotives https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exmoor_Steam_Railway
