The White Horse is an old coaching inn on Dorking's High Street. It has recently been extensively refurbished including a 'newly designed restaurant concept' called The Dozen. There is currently a planning application displayed outside for the installation of illuminated signage which presumably means the end of this rather charming old inn sign that hangs outside. Local people (based on a sample of one!) seem unhappy at what is seen as a loss of the town's heritage, pointing out that 'this is Dorking not Las Vegas'.
