If you are heading southwest on the M27, it becomes the A31(T) at Cadnam then climbs up the hill past Malwood Castle. The reduction from three lanes to two and the steep gradient means that this bit of road becomes a bottleneck during busy periods. The edge of Bignell Wood can be seen on the far side of the road.
