Viewed from a bridleway between Hoad Road and Ridge Row, one can see why this landscape is classified as being in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The grass shows a very light dusting of snow, which had fallen the previous evening - the third fall of the winter – but like the previous two, it soon melted.
