A walk around Grassmoor Image : Previous - (41 of 51) - Next : Image This is Chapman Lane, which was once the main access road into the old Grassmoor Colliery. Today, at the end of the lane there is access to Grassmoor Country Park https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/images/Grassmoor%20Country%20Park_tcm44-194014.pdf . The 1899 OS map for this area has the name of this street as Hobley Lane. The first OS map to use Chapman Lane was one published in 1921. See also this photograph by Andrew Hill:- Image
