Austin's Lane is followed by the Hillingdon Trail on its way from Long Lane to Ickenham Marsh. Here it is about to cross over the Metropolitan and Piccadilly line, immediately north of Ickenham station. Trains first ran under the bridge on 4th July 1904 - see https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5670102 The Hillingdon Trail is a 20 mile path through Hillingdon's countryside from Cranford in the south-east to Harefield in the north-west.
