- Pillbox - shellproof (type FW3/28A): DoB ID: S0011910 The first of three interior views. The main chamber that housed the standard 2 pdr anti-tank gun has in front of its embrasure recesses in the wall for the front trail legs of the gun, and a single slot in the floor for the rear. With the 2 pdr gun in position the maximum traverse was limited to 60 degrees, although its small size would have given the gun a degree of mobility, allowing for its rapid deployment or withdrawal. In action, the gun's armoured shield would have covered most of the large embrasure giving some protection for the gun crew. Image
