Built in 1936, to the designs of Chorley, Gribbon and Foggitt of Leeds, and awarded a Bronze Medal by the Architects’ Institute the same year. Despite praise for the new building at the time of its construction, it has not yet been listed, although others of a similar style and age have been. The rear (east) end has a cross built into the brickwork, perhaps to honour the presence of the Sacrament behind it.
