Opened in 1864 by the Wycombe Railway on the line from Maidenhead to Aylesbury, this station replaced an earlier terminus station on an adjacent site (see Image). In turn, this station was rebuilt c.1905 when the direct line from London Marylebone arrived. View south east towards Beaconsfield and London. A large footbridge has appeared between the platforms in the 4 years since Image was recorded.
