The house and adjacent garden are in the database of the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland, but without additional information. Historic Environment Scotland says it is Category C Listed, and describes it as a small two-storey mansion house of colourwashed rubble and slate. Door lintel and inset pediment inscribed 16.AI.IS.36; 18th and late 19th century additions. The back part with small windows looks early 18th century and the wing in front looks Victorian to me.
