The hub of a rope-walk which extended some 300 metres to the left of the building. The boundaries of this are preserved enclosing the narrow strip of lane where long ropes would have been manufactured. The building displays the semi-circular lunette windows which are typical of the village and dates from around 1815. Now converted to residential use.
